My Publishing Journey
Any journey towards self-exploration,
is in itself a real benediction,
So is My Publishing Journey,
Which might be the same with other many.
A little seed sprouts into a tiny plant,
Happens this miracle for within the seed there is a desire & want,
By the magic touch of sunshine, wind & water,
Tiny plant's dream of becoming a mighty tree is not far.
My publishing journey is also more or less the same,
Though deep within yet now there is a yearning for a little more fame.
It started with a dream of writing my innermost thought,
To transfer my thoughts into words a silent battle is to be fought.
Slowly, one word after another forms a sentence,
Where I try to record life's beautiful essence.
My completed write ups give me a sense of satisfaction,
And I savour the joy of a grand task-completion.
Since then I want to be read by all readers,
For their approval and praise, most of the time, indeed matters.
But getting my work published is really not easy,
For a publisher looks for a product that has a better saleability.
At times, repeated rejection wrecked my confidence,
When the friends of mine are the self-trust, confidence and patience.
I keep knocking one door from another with my work of love,
When for a desire for acceptance my heart starve(s).
After a long journey with failure there comes success,
Suddenly a truth of life comes to my mind in a flash,
We must keeping trying, unheeding the cries of failure,
For behind it is hiding the smile of success for sure.
This is all the My Publishing Journey in a nutshell,
To keep my spirits up l often tell myself, 'Yes, you have done well.'
